The greater the number of digitized members of society, the more opportunities there are for growth. And for our economy. Because digital exclusion leads to a growing social exclusion. So, let us together turn “No one left behind“ into the project of all Lithuania!
You are invited and welcome if:

you believe that the person‘s age is not a barrier to developing digital skills
can provide elderly people with practical knowledge how to enjoy the benefits of the digital society
want to spread the word that there is room for everyone in the digital society
want and can contribute to the education of elderly people by giving them tools - by donating smart devices and computers to computer classes of the University of the Third Age

A consumer with digital skills and abilities, who trusts digital services, is the axis of digital transformation. Unfortunately, he is often left to drown in an ocean of technological achievements that are beyond his reach.

About the project
Rapid aging of society is a reality faced by all European countries. Lithuania is no exception. Unfortunately, the statistics shows that the older is a person, the worse digital skills he has. Although a large part of our country's elderly citizens uses technologies, for example, reads news on the Internet, communicates using apps, the elderly people still lack skills, which would allow them to take advantage of the many benefits of the digital society.
In these times of technological development, it is important that digital exclusion would not become the cause of increasing social exclusion. Because of this, we decided to start the project “Digital decade: no one left behind“ in 2023. Its main goal is to reduce the digital exclusion among elderly people. In the pursuit of this goal, we give lectures to communities of elderly people all over Lithuania, and organise practical workshops.
And we promise to review the results of the project every year on the International Day of Older Persons. On October 1, we will invite the elderly people who participated in the project and the project partners to share insights and visions for the future of the project.
